The BBC are obviously slightly annoyed that Murray’s high rating singles career is over, so are desperately clinging onto any scraps, including First Round Mixed Doubles, which would never be enough to rip up the prime time schedule, even with big name or UK players taking part.

I doubt they'd have done it if it wasn't for him playing with Serena. They'll at least get that bite of the cherry tonight.

Particularly as there isn't really another hugely successful British star worthy of shifting the schedules to replace him with, yet.

No big name but must say this is the first time I remember there being three Brits back to back on the show courts (one on Centre then two on Court 1) on the middle Saturday of the tournament, and arguably two of them there on their own merit rather than because of whom they're playing. The BBC not quite forgiven Dan Evans though after his ban for cocaine use and kept him on the red button and then BBC2 rather than on the main coverage today.

Not a fan of them using the "Game, Set and Facts" within play itself. Makes sense to use it during breaks in play, but seems to be increasingly cropping up withni the games itself.

They've just crossed from Centre to No1, watching in UHD. The upscaling of the HD from No1 to UHD looked superb, makes me wonder whether the court is being produced in UHD but isn't being distributed as such.

Who is the male voice doing links between games on BBC Two at times when Sue or Clare are unavailable?

BBC One is now simulcasting BBC Two.

Do the BBC not realise that people can get both channels?

And dropped Casualty as a consequence. Strange decision given that they could have easily shown Casualty and just make the schedule 5 minutes behind.

Well it’s obviously worthy of BBC One and they probably think it’s not worth taking it of BBC Two at such short notice.

Don't understand that scheduling choice - the Murray match finished at more or less exactly 2030 - could have done a few minutes analysis then handed over to Casualty. Now we have the same match on both channels for 20 minutes.

They’ve now changed to showing a match from earlier on BBC Two

I guess they are now in a situation where they can’t start Today at Wimbledon, because BBC One is still on air, and if they did, they wouldn’t be able to conclude the coverage.

Very simple, when the Murray match finished, do what the schedule says, put Casualty on 5 minutes lat and then tell people who want to continue watching the tennis to switch over to BBC Two, after all, that is what was planned in the schedule.

Now they are showing filler on BBC Two as the live tennis is on BBC One.

Entirely of their own making.

BBC gets a lot of unfair criticism but they ask for all they get tonight.

Every year.

Dan Evans deserves his slot on BBC1 tonight having been confined to the red button and BBC2 for most of the match whilst the British ladies got airtime on BBC1.

As for Casualty - isn't is usually off air by the time Wimbledon comes along?
