The snooker coverage earlier in the year used the logo-free box as well for signposting purposes and I have yet to see it outside of sport so presumably it it is something Sport have knocked up.
Yes, the channel pointers on BBC Sport have been BBC logo free since they rebranded last year.
I notice the final is currently scheduled to be split between BBC1 and BBC2, changing to BBC2 just before 3pm. Now as a Welshman it is be careful what you wish for but really do think it would be more respectful to the event to have the entire final on BBC2, and lets face it if Wednesday goes as I think it will (and based on form absolutely should) I suspect they'll be more than one-hours build up to the final on BBC1. Indeed they may have to move the ladies final too!
And although I respect Wimbledon for not pandering to other sports it does feel somewhat foolish not to have made adjustments for the World Cup final, regardless of whom is in it. The BBC can't be the only broadcaster with a scheduling clash and bringing it forward to noon or using it as an excuse to trial an evening final under the roof would have made sense. After all it's unlikely they'll have to make any adjustments again until 2030 at the earliest (and even then an evening kick-off would be more than likely).

Andy Murray just been announced that he will be a pundit tomorrow and a commentator on Wednesday on the BBC.
Wouldn't be surprised if he spent a lot of last week getting some coaching and piloting. I'm sure that it really means co-commentator, the expert summariser role, which in all sports is usually an ex player rather than a career broadcaster.
Besides, he's probably just getting his foot in the door. What if his injury that caused him to miss the tournament ends up forcing him to retire? He needs to plan for what to do after hanging up his racquet.
He is supposed to be on as a studio guest around 5pm so I'm assuming after Williams v Giorgi on BBC One, potentially as part of the introduction to his brother's doubles match which follows it.
He'll be on co-commentary for one of the men's quarter finals tomorrow, I would guess as part of a team of three, not lead commentator.
The order of play has just come out so I expect he'll do Nadal v del Potro which is second on Centre Court.
