Guess they'll have to rename it after Edmund or Konta now, assuming they survive the day.

There's been a debate over whether it should be renamed after Murray for years but for most people it'll always be Henman Hill.

Eurosport are opening a pop up 4K Channel on VM and presumably Sky for their Wimbledon Final coverage next weekend.

OK no one died, but unfortunate to see Sue Barker's carefully rehearsed opener at 13.45 on BBC One stopped in its tracks when the feed was temporarily switched to the Sloane Stevens match on Court 1.

Well officially it's still called Aorangi Terrace on the official Wimbledon maps and stuff, reglardless of what player of the month the media are naming it after.

A look for an article about the new screen on Henman Hill leads to a moan from the Daily Express that they won't be showing the England game on it (why would they?). Give me strength...

World Cup/Euro tournament matches have never been shown on the big screen at Wimbledon on safety grounds and also as cheering from fans may cause a distraction to players on court.

Not true - I visited Wimbledon as a kid in 1998. They played the England match on the big screen, pretty sure it was the one where David Beckham was sent off for kicking something other than the ball... It was a warm day with rain on and off throughout so it could have been that the show courts had given up for the evening.

That'll be Argentina v England in the last 16.

I was going to say that I distinctly remember seeing 'Today at Wimbledon' open (at least once) with the crowd on 'Henman Hill' watching an England game and reacting to the final result. Not sure if it was that game or another one.

The previous UHD pop-up for the French Open (or was it Winter Olympics - or was it both?) was VM-only and not on Sky Q. Wonder if this will be different.

French Open was in 4K on Sky Q through a red button prompt, using Sky's UHD capacity- complete with the Sky Sports UHD living holds ether side of the coverage. Think the first day of the tournament wasn't available as Sky had their own events, but it was there every day after that.

I don't think there was any 4K from the Winter Olympics from either the BBC or Eurosport. There were the temporary extra Eurosport channels that were on VM and BT TV but not on Sky.

Possible that they might choose to show England games on the big screen, after all the matches have finished. They aren't going to show it when there's play going off on the courts though (and with the roof on Centre court, and on No.1 from next year, there's the possibility of play continuing later than there would have been in 1998).

So the BBC's graphics when they are discussing matches or showing highlights are using Reith but any in play scores and graphics are all in Gotham. (bloody sick of seeing that font everywhere these days!) Shame, it would have looked better if it all as uniform than mixing styles depending on what you're watching.
