Do they ever have female commentators on men's matches?

Not sure I've heard any at Wimbledon this year, but it does happen.

Jo Durie and Annabel Croft both definitely did some at the French Open.

It's fairly obvious now there's going to be schedule changes on both BBC channels now. How long until Sue barker goes home for the night?

Sue Barker has been handing over to Clare Balding at 6pm most nights, so no doubt she is watching this in the comfortable knowledge she does not need to be hanging around to do continuity announcements.

Sue Barker still on duty. I would guess she'll hand over to Claire at 20:00, or when the first semi final ends, whichever occurs first.

I don't think the first semi final will have ended by 20:00 tomorrow, let alone today Razz

Well, it's finished, but there's another in about 20 minutes, so what will they do with the schedule?

(You chose tennis over the new year TOTP on BBC4 tonight, don't blame you)

I watch what other people in this house want to watch, I always have to record TOTP and watch it later :p

I already have a copy of tonight's episode anyway.

If the BBC had put the First Night of the Proms on BBC4 at 7.30 - simultaneously with Radio 3 - they'd have avoided at least one of the problems they're facing. Still, it's apparently imperative to have an hour's grab-bag TOTP compilation from 84, straight after a half hour of the original series from 86. 'Everybody needs a place to think', indeed.

McEnroe complaining about the length of this, but I recall his 1992 men's doubles final when he paired with Michael Stich, which he ended up winning on the Monday in the fifth set, 19-17.

He really puts a dampener on these epics and I really think he is out of tune with the audience. Nobody would remember this match or Isner-Mahut if they'd been decided in 5th set tie breakers.
