The commentators are talking about when they would have to close the roof (either during this match or following it), so I would imagine Clare Balding and friends will pop up at whatever time that happens as it would take about 20 minutes to do so. There is also the break between the two matches to fill.
I assume there is some commitment to keep this and the final to follow on BBC Two rather than the red button.
The episode of Imagine scheduled for 21:00 is new but there are repeats of Mock the Week, QI and Live at the Apollo after it which can be ditched if necessary.
Clare Balding has just popped up out-of-vision to confirm no Today at Wimbledon but highlights of the earlier final when the roof closes and/or between the two matches.
You would think nowadays in such circumstances they would make a displaced programme available on the iPlayer at the time of the originally scheduled broadcast.
Couldn't have been a more contrasting two doubles finals. 6-0 6-0 ensures they finish well ahead of the curfew, and BBC Two is only 87 mins behind schedule.
Slight surprise that the lead commentator for the Women's final is the excellent Andrew Cotter rather than John Inverdale who commentated the last 2 years. Also shame that Kim Clijsters isn't involved in the final as she has been commentating for the BBC or Lindsay Davenport who hasn't been on the BBC this year.
Wimbledon's loss is ITV Boxings gain he's presenting their PPV coverage tonight.
