I'm going to watch 'Look East (W)', the Cambridge opt, just to see what happens.
Even more complicated for those regions with sub-opts.

I wonder if they'd air it on a Saturday night?
Eastenders will never be premiered on Three first.
They would substitute another programme instead.

No, it's an event of national importance and deserves coverage on the channel where people are most likely to think to view events of national importance. Simples.
Also, the BBC has a duty to deliver the highest possible ratings for Wimbledon, if it wants the best chance of retaining future contacts.
It does? I'd say its PSB responsibilities to put out a comprehensive national and regional news service far outweigh its "duty" to retain the Wimbledon contract, which could only go to an FTA broadcaster anyway.
If the Wimbledon authorities are that concerned that Murray is on BBC1 rather than BBC2 they have the ability to make sure he isn't playing between 6.30 and 7. Simples.
Leave normal tv schedule alone and put the Murray match on the red button, simples!

I'm not saying the BBC don't have a duty to air the national on regional news on BBC One. Although I think at some points, big sporting events like this are not only in themselves news but the biggest news. I'd argue BBC has a responsibility to keep moments of national importance on the BBC and free to air. It's only the finals that have to be free to air and I'm not sure ITV (the next likely to be able to afford it) would want the whole things for it's main channel. Which would increase the chances of the majority Wimbledon being tempted by Sky or BT Sport.
My main gripe wasn't with people who saying the tennis should be on BBC Two, whilst the news is on anyway. It was with a person who dismissed tonight tennis as something that should just be left to the red button whilst the usual schedule takes BBC One and Two.

Apart from when it premiered on BBC Three for a week when it first launched.
At least they are updating the EPG with 30+ minutes to go, rather than leaving it until the last possible second or worse, only updating once the programme has already started. I have just set The One Show to record on BBC Two and it has also allowed me to set a series link. That is much better than it was last week where The One Show was on BBC One and BBC Two at the same time according to the EPG.
Why don't they just put the whole Wimbledon Fortnight on BBC One and give BBC Two a proper schedule with a mixture of BBC One and BBC Two programmes rather than it having to show filler programmes that either no one cares about or no one knows are on.

It looks as though EE and Sherlock have been dumped . . . The One Show is on BBC Two until 9pm now according to Sky's EPG.
It's changing by the minute at the moment.

His matches seem to be specifically scheduled by the AELTC to end during primetime TV in the later rounds, but I doubt they give a second thought to the BBC's regional news transmission issue between 6:30-6:57.
The Cambridge regional opt was just that - no news from the main 'Look East'.
Sky's EPG is still showing a 2 hour edition of the 'One Show' from 7pm on BBC Two. The length could perhaps be due to a report on their rather fruitless search for garlic growers on the non-existent 'Isle of White' .

No. It looks as though they've now sorted the BBC Two schedule for the evening instead of their Wimbledon coverage:
7:30 - Baking Made Easy
8:00 - Coast
8:30 - Great British Railways
9:00 - Wild Shepherdess
10:00 - QI (normal schedule)
Perhaps they'll shuffle EE along the BBC One schedule at 30 min intervals, until about 9:15, depending on how the match goes.
They'll just put EastEnders out on Two at 8pm, won't they?
