...not even in the nations who'd had their regional news at the regular time. How odd.
The regions wo would have just been on would have not allowed a rehearsal for the update, nor was it seen necessary after the evening programme just aired for most. Its a one off.
No regional bit on the 8pm update. Ellie was cut off by a trailer for the BBC Weather app.

Those of you who normally SKY PLUS your regional news programme for whatever reason, not being able to watch live or for captures etc, & normally rely on the likes of Red Bee to automatically adjust your box for schedule changes, were totally b*******d tonight, as my box eventually taped something between 655pm & 730pm, but it wasn't Midlands Today, as the regions didn't start until 730pm, as we now know.
At least I managed to see it live!

If they'd used pragmatism, and typed BBC 2 , rather than 'BBC Two' it would have fitted, but pragmatism takes a two week break from the Beeb this time of year.
They wouldn't though - they always type it as a word nowadays - pre 1997 it would have been "BBC 2"
Everybody outside of the 'Beeb' and many within, refer to the channels in writing with numerals, as do the Radio Times, the closest thing there is to the Beeb's parish magazine
The One Show becomes The Two Show...
And BBC One's caption doesn't quite fit in the red box!
