There's no technical reason why they couldn't have gone on BBC Two NI, other than having to scrabble around for a filler of the appropriate length for when England eventually go to the regional news.

Sue's just said that England & NI regional programmes will follow, But I thought BBC Two NI was avaialable for them, so surely only England will have to be later?

Yes she did. I didn't spot any on-screen caption this time though (certainly not on HD), wonder if any of the English regions might have done their own captions?
I caught a BBC One Scotland caption pointing viewers to BBC Two for Reporting Scotland.
Did Sue Barker really just say that the regional news will now be shown on BBC2? Oh no it won't! (Unless you're in Scotland or Wales)

It looks as though BBC Two NI are continuing to show Wimbledon, rather than Newsline.

although the 970s channels on Sky still show regional programmes on BBC One.

Reporting Scotland is apparently on until 2230, and Wales Today is running right through until 0600. I hope the studio have a good supply of biscuits.

The One Show becomes The Two Show...
And BBC One's caption doesn't quite fit in the red box!

If they'd used pragmatism, and typed BBC 2 , rather than 'BBC Two' it would have fitted, but pragmatism takes a two week break from the Beeb this time of year.

They wouldn't though - they always type it as a word nowadays - pre 1997 it would have been "BBC 2"

So the regions and NI finally make it on air at 1930 - BBC One HD just saying that 'programmes will resume shortly' with no countdown.
I know that Scotland has, on occasion, done an entire 90 second update at 8pm without any input from network - we may see this again this evening, given that BH Studio A will still be in use by BBC London until just before then.
[edit] Scotland currently filling with what appears to the the billed programme, while Wales have something with that bloke from Rogue Traders.
