Wimbledon 2013

Well Wimbledon returned today, and with that the BBC has a new look set, well I say new, it's more good memories of last years' summer of sport:


New desk, with the updated Wimbledon logo which debuted last year but the BBC still had the old glass cut version on the previous desk:

Looks nice! Still like the raised steps with the BBC logo in them.

It does look nice. I think it's just the floor that has been carried over from them the Olympics. Some may suggest it's cheap or lazy for the diagonal lines, a branding device used to the Olympics to be used again, but they work well for tennis IMO.

The 2013 titles too are Olympicesque. with the race along the Thames motif reused.

I guess it's the BBC living in past glories. Although to be fair it's more the pre-title sequence than the actual titles.

I see the scoreboards on the courts have changed font this year. Looks like Arial?

They look great! Best titles in ages!

I thought that too....and I think they now have LED scoreboards on all of the outer courts.

I've never seen name astons besides the players to aid viewers as to who is on which side.

Does the score normally stay on screen on shots other than the normal wide?
