No point showing much of this match now as I'm sure most people watching saw the tail end if nothing else.
The trouble with Today at Wimbledon at 8pm is it's rarely a proper highlights programme. I'd much rather be watching live tennis and get full roundup later, than be constantly dipping into live matches, and see virtually nothing of the ones that were playing in the last couple of hours.
I know we have this argument every year, but tonight is the perfect example of why Today at Wimbledon should be scheduled later. BBC Two ends live coverage when Djokovic and Sharapova are still on court - two of the biggest names of the tournament. And Sharapova's in trouble as well.

They've gone live to the Sharapova match now - I think about 5 minutes ago. Interesting to see whether they stay with it. Worth noting Yesterday at Wimbledon has been axed this year.
Of course now Today at Wimbledon is showing Sharapova's match live, which means they'll have to stop at some point if they're going to show highlights of anything else.
Guess which match is on 301? Also Sharapova v Pironkova

They really don't help themselves considering BBC2 will be struggling for daytime content next year, though I suspect T@W regularly being bumped influenced that decision.
BBC2 could easily have live action until 9pm through to the quarter final stages or so - and if they do go off court earlier they could always screen Coast again.
Stupid bloody roof stopping one of the biggest games so far for half an hour - even though there would easily be an hour or so of daylight left. As unhappy as Nadal seemed about it it's basically gifted him victory I suspect.
So BBC Two has been sticking with the Nadal match, however they've gone off court at the end of the fourth set at 8.50 for the roof to be closed. So a 30 minute roundup with John Inverdale at 8.50, then back to the live match at 9.20 approx tonight.

Really? About 20 minutes of usable daylight max - they've never played till 9.50 at Wimbledon. Nadal had all the momentum, so not so good for him either.
It was suggested before the tournament that Sue Barker's role would be reduced this year, but am I right in thinking she is still doing as much as before, in fact more as they start at 11:30 now?
