To be honest, there's every possibly the ladies' final will be finished before the cars get back on the grid at Silverstone, so BBC HD might be able to cut back to the F1 anyway!!

The covers have just come on, but no decision to close the roof yet,.

This F1 is just qualifying, not the actual Grand Prix. Qualifying is often relegated to the red button so BBC2 only seems fine.

To be fair, F1 Qualifying has never been relegated to the Red Button.

Am I mixing up qualifying with practice?

Practice has always been on red button, never on BBC 1 or 2.

Moto GP Qualifying is usually on the red button. This weekend it seems it's not on at all.

The MotoGP qualifying was on the Red Button earlier . . . but not on Freeview.

But is there a slot for this on Sky?

Isn't '304' just a HD slot for Freeview, so couldn't have been used today - as Sky/Virgin viewers would have lost out?

Well Sky/Virgin viewers missing out would make a nice change. That said surely the vast majority of the seven 3D viewers will have Sky or Virgin anyway.
