Unfortunately I wasn't using my capture card when it was on.

Basically, it was a shortened version of the usual promo, but at the end they show clips of different TVs very quickly in the style of the rest of the promo - however the clip on the TV screen stays the same throughout, a clip of Murray celebrating his win just a few minutes before the trail went out.

BBC East keep putting a caption on screen saying 'BBC Look East to follow the tennis'. I take it the BBC in Norwich are doing this via their output and not network?


No such caption for Midlands Today

They might have had one that said 'Bad Luck Andy'.... but I can't see how that would fit in with the happy mood of the rest of the trail

On this blurry cap from rewinded live iPlayer, it looks more like FERRER than TSONGA in the score aston.

It would be nice if network BBC One took a leaf out of BBC Wales's book, and maybe rustled up a few special idents for the big occasion . . . but maybe I'm being too hopeful.

Also - considering this now really is a HUGE sporting occasion - it would be nice if the build-up to the final on Sunday could be extended. Say, start on BBC One at 12.10pm, move the British Grand Prix build-up to BBC Two, shift the MotoGP to the Red Button and replay the MotoGP at 3.30pm on BBC Two, replacing the scheduled film.

Again, probably being too hopeful . . .

Not a bad suggestion however the film is probably there in case the Formula 1 over-runs, which is a possibility given the weather forecast.

MotoGP is also on BBC HD.

The complexity of the 3D Wimbledon Delayed Final Replay on BBC HD really snookers all of these extend buildup moves, maintaining HD Coverage of GP, MGP and Wimbledon with that in the mix. Would be nice but seems unlikely.

Is the Wimbledon 3D coverage delayed? I thought BBC HD was simply joining the live coverage in 3D at 3.30pm, following the Grand Prix.

I believe it to be so, I think it was refered as such in the coverage earlier this week. Nothing online to backup this though,

BBC One coverage is 12:55 to 17:30 (4 hours 35 minutes)
BBC HD 3D coverage is 15:30 to 18:00 (2 hours 30 minutes)

They could be using 304 for the 3D but I bet it will be sat there showing a caption all day Rolling Eyes
