BBC scheduling really is rather peculiar . . . for years we've been complaining that Today at Wimbledon often clashes with live tennis, and should be moved to a later time slot.

However the timing of the highlights show on men's final day is perhaps a little extreme - its shunted to midnight on BBC Two!

Now the highlights show on men's final has traditionally been in a later slot (usually around 10.30pm), but midnight is a bit much - considering 10pm-midnight is filled with repeats of Mock the Week, Line of Duty and Episodes. BBC One has a repeat of John Bishop's Britain at 10.55pm - that slot would also have done nicely.

Surely there's a happy medium here somewhere . . .

Ah well. Rant over.

(right after a brilliant point by Murray, too)

But looking like upscaled picture. Very good upscaled, but not native HD.

Apparently those who need to know are working on it Wink

They're moving Murray to BBC2 and keeping the news/regional news on BBC1, unlike this time last year.

That is a surprise Murray moving to BBC Two. A sensible decision though, despite less people will view it now.

I think the only reason they moved it to two was because of the big news story with Bob Diamond. I suspect if it was a quieter news day it would have stayed on BBC1.

I'd suspect it's more to do with the fact they don't want to to bother pissing around with the regional news again with all the hassle that causes. Having said that they could have just moved it at 6:30 for half an hour.

I'm surprised they haven't yet changed the schedule to move The One Show to BBC Two, to allow the tennis to return to BBC One at 6:55.

The match doesn't look as though it's going to be over by then, especially if they have to have a 20 min break to close the roof.

I don't think they closed the rough till well after 8 on Saturday. Although I'm assume it's dependent on the light.

We've just had 30 mins of heavy rain here in Hampshire, Met Office radar shows it moving towards London.
I estimate its arrival there about 19:15hrs, so just in time perhaps to waste 20 mins of BBC 1 air time with live coverage of a roof closing
