William Hague to resign?

Its 04.42 on June 8th. I have stayed up all night watching the election, daylight started to appear about an hour ago, and Willam Hague has just left the result at his Richmond constituency in Yorkshire.

Journalists and news crews beseiged Mr Hague as he got into his car, with a glum look on his face I must say, and commentators on the major channels cant decide what Mr Hague is going to do.

I have around 190 images captures from the nights events, I'm gonna stay up and record the GMTV News special in just over an hour, and see how BBC Breakfast be covering the events of the day.

He has resigned

I wonder if I'm a contender?!!

Bit of a problem though:

I need to be at least 21
Be an MP
Be married!

I did feel a little sorry for William Hague, he did his very best, but got no reward whatsoever, anyway he's got's the next best thing Ffion!

Why would you need to be married ?

Who would you rather vote for?

(putting party preferences and manifestos aside)

Phoney Blair - with his wife and 4 kids?

or Ann Widdecome who is still an unmarried virgin at 55-ish?

Widdecombe is actually very popular, far more so than William Hague.
Getting married does help, I will never be a politician then (thank god), it does not however ensure you victory.
Either way Ann is not likely to be leader.

Widdecombe is totally unelectable, did you see a hilarious report on C4 News last night about the decline of the Tory Party. It had Anne Widecombe going around in her 'pope mobile' around her constituency shouting 'Widecombe, Widecombe, Widecombe, Your Conservative Candidate', 'Vote Widecombe, Conservative, Conservative, Conservative'. It was skin crawlingly bad.

But hilarious to boot.
And hey, she won!
