Yes, on News 24 it is like that. On my TV, the News 24 dog is in the left, but on the widescreen downstairs, it is in the middle! Or near enough!

The best time to watch the regional news to see the black bars appear is the 3:25 summary on BBC TWO. It goes from a shot of the BBC NEWS studio, to the start of the regional news titles, but in a split second, the bars are added and the titles start! Very unprofessional!

sorry they must have changed it cause the bbc digital website used to say 14:6. bbc choices dog is like news 24 as well in the 4:3 safe area

I only heard about This Morning because Judy asked one of the camera men if they broadcast in widescreen, to which he replied yes, that is why I was guessing at it.
And really, the BBC should get rid of www.bbc.co.uk from the News24 screen, they have BBC Text on all digital services now, there is no need for it.
And, with audiences like they are, to employ a quote from another website...
'With audiences as low as they are, shouldn't BBC Online be promoting News24, not the other way around'.
