Can I ask why on earth does UK seem to be screwed up with it comes to broadcasting Programmes?

For some Stupid reason main broadcaster are putting 18 – 30 type programmes in the slot – Friday and Saturday night when there are all going out

Where as in the US there put such programmes on a Thursday I think,

Ch4 are bad for this But I think ITV has start to look at this: There keep putting murder dramas on the Friday nights

Also I sure said this before there never seem to be any comedy on a Tuesday

Well i guess it all comes down to what the broadcaster here thinks best suits it. I think most of the main broadcasters have selected time slots for comedy, drama ect.

Alexia - I'll happily call you a taxi, no ill go one better and get you a gun.

All broadcasters aim, after extensive research, to meet the demographic that has the highest viewing percentage for that time period.

At one time Saturday evening (6-11pm) was seen as a prime-time for any popular programme all year, but this is now seasonally driven, and has to be planned in the face of ever-increasing competition from the other broadcasters.

The growth of PVRs - through Sky+, V+ and the various Freeview compitable models make such scheduling something of the past really and this fragmentation of the schedule will continue.

Oh its etc isint it?, i always get it the wrong way around.

I have done this myself loads of times, but why do people go into threads, and not contribute to the opening argument, i do it a lot of the time - as do a lot of other people - why do we do that?
