The taxi becomes left hand drive and traffic is on the wrong side of the road...

Guess done to keep continuity of car travelling from left to right - but instead looks just daft.

On a second point, despite my interest in family history I'm not enjoying this series as much as others.
Does anyone else think it could do with a break/revision?

I disagree with you re this series. I think a lot of the stories have been interesting, moving and more varied. And without sounding callous, I think there's more variation due to the stories not necessarily relating heavily to the atrocities of the WWII.

I quite liked Kim Cattrall's episode, it was quite interesting to see what lengths her mother's father would go to in order to get out of a marriage.
