I see that the thread relating to this has been archived, so I've created a new one. This time with caps..(Courtesy of mb21)

That's got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with DSO.

Those overlays are in connection with the temporary frequencies in use in Whitby while they relocate the transmitter further away from the crumbling cliff.

You went to mb21 to get the pictures; it's a pity you didn't bother reading the article on the same web site, all about the relocation.

Whilst this, as St Nick has said, has nothing to do with the DSO, it's pretty obvious this is how viewers will be alerted to the impending analogue doomsday when that day comes.

Rather the same as the analogue Astra Channel 5 switch off a few years ago.

Although it is ridiculous that is *isn't* to do with DSO, they should have built the new site as digital only and been done with it - IIRC the temporary frequencies are out of group so people are going to need their aerials changing at least once
