Where the Heart Is

With every series of Where The Heart Is, the more it gets dubbed a refuge for ITV ex-soap actors.

My colleagues were bored at the office, and were trying to remember how many of the current/past cast have been in WTHI. Here's a few to kick off:

but this is what people want on a sunday, like heartbeat ( another show that need to be killed off)

by the way - re your strap line regarding STV and ITV idents....( as I have said before on this forum)...the ITV idents aren't European...they were all filmed in South Africa.......

it is common knowledge that Sundays is still day of rest, and people want happy stuff like WHI,
If you remember back in the mid 80's game for a laugh got moved to a Sunday night and dived boomed, People want songs of praise and stuff like that on a Sunday.

They were both in Where the Heart is before Corrie were they not?

Yes, I think they were actually.

They were indeed, I wasn't being pedantic with the list Tommy and Angela Harris are no longer in Coro, so they are now ex-soap actors ... however Simon Goddard (Thomas Craig) returned to the series for a few episodes last year, shortly after Tommy Harris was brained in Coro!

Frankly, and IMO, this is ITV at it's very worst. It's bad enough Heartbeat has manged to make the 60's last at least 15 years. Then there was that dismal "Heartbeat goes Africa" with Stephen Tomkinson- the real name thankfully escapes me. And Where the Heart is, is sickening candy floss TV for idiots who can't raise a braincell to watch something else.

And by October Heartbeat will be back stuck in 1969, with 1970's music and vehicles.

Are Heartbeat, The Royal & Where The Heart Is, ITV's equivelant of the Beeb's 'Last Of The Summer Wine', where every old comedy actor that's still alive is either a guest or a regular?
