The Problem with ITV News, is that they put their national bulletins before their 24hour news channel. The News Channel is removed from the studio every so often and, its graphics are almost totally replaced with the National News' graphics.
At least BBC News 24 has its own studio, which is comparable with the National News studio.
And as for your argument about my typing of SKYnews, look at the logo, the 'Sky' is in capitals and the 'news' is in lowercase, but that aside, I have explained how I got into the habbit of typing it like that, and I refuse to defend myself against pedantic busibodies who get irrate over such small a thing.

Well the problem is, ITV News are usually getting there first. Not always, no definitely not, but generally the breaking news comes first on the ITV News Channel and ITV seem to handle it better than Sky News.
I don't think ITV News could have gone to much more bother than they did, so how Sky went to more bother I can't work out, I didn't watch their coverage and I'm sure it was good, but ITV were brilliant on those days.
SKYNews is good, out of all of the news channels it's is dedicated most probably because it doesn't have to concentrate on National News. I prefer ITV News, and hardly ever watch Sky News, but it is good and definitely better than BBC News 24.

I'm not even sure this question is valid.
I think the presentation part of the news channel is attributable to only a small part of its success.
Sky has long had a reputation for breaking news first, and as long as they continue to do this, they can't go far wrong.

I'm thinking about The Hutton Inquiry and The Soham Trial here - ITV News did not go to the amount of bother Sky News did

Wow, having *animated graphics* is such a rip. I'm sure BBCnews and ITVnews would never have thought about those before the wonderful and almighty SKYnews came up with them.

Animated Clear large graphics, have been copied with ITV and the BBC, in a more effective, animated, clean, stylish way...

Surely the person doing it is the pedantic busibody and the person criticising it recognises how fundamentally sad it is?

How can you say that? You see Martin, reflecting someone elses insults back into their faces often dosen't insult them. The fact is you were the stupid one in the first place for writing SKYnews, I mean how..... childish.
Anyway back on topic, why do you care so much about the new Sky News graphics? Sky have a lot of work to do if their presentation is going to exceed or even rival that of the ITV News Channel or the new and amazing BBC News 24 graphics.
To put it politely, I don't like Sky News and I don't care how their graphics will look, or their slug.

So back on topic. Have any of you had any ideas in the past for new ways to present the News, that may be good for SKYnews...
