When will the BBC just grow up?

8.15 tonight and there is a 'spoiler' news report from the BBC giving the results of tonights games.
Whats the point in this? None, other than to pi55 people off who may wish to watch Casualty prior to turning over to the game on ITV1.

Would have been better if they

1 - didn't have HIM presenting and
2 - had used the daytime titles and no ident.

What was the score?

12-0 to Turkey

How pointless, as as if those football fans who don't have Sky will now say "Ok we know the score now, we don't need to watch the action, we'll watch Silent Witness instead"

Well at least you got a live report from Turkey - us in Scotland only got a passing mention of the result.

Mind you a pretty poor result from England - maybe Beckham should have gone to specksavers!!!

Of course Andrew if it was vice-versa, and it was ITV1 having a news report about the result, you wouldn't start moaning about it then, would you?

When will you people stop reading more into things like this than you need to??

I seriously doubt there were very many people who were waiting for the game on ITV ... and I doubt many will watch the replay that don't know the result.

oh don't go on this again - the England match was much more newsworthy due to the whole fan banning issue. If Scotland had had this problem then it would have been them who got the report.

The way tonight's ITV announcer is building up the game, I have a feeling that BOTH the viewers will be disappointed!
