Take with a pinch of salt but The Sun are claiming that Alison Hammond is to present a pilot of Wheel of Fortunes which could lead to a series. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tv/13342390/this-morning-alison-hammond-host-wheel-of-fortune/

I assume given Sony owns the format that it's going to made by Stellify, no broadcaster yet but it could easily be on BBC One or ITV. Will be interesting to see if it uses the elements of the American series or use elements of the British version of the format.

Funny, over here we're getting a version of WoF too. (besides the syndicated one.)

Is the primetime version an hour or half an hour? I think an hour could potentially hurt it as a format.

Please no. What is it with This Morning staff getting their own vehicles on ITV.

No doubt it'll be padded out to an hour and filled with nonsense which seems to be the ITV way these days (that's if they do it).

I caught a bit of the Spanish version of WoF, Ruleta de la Suerte. It has a few innovations compared to the UK version, not least a house band!

I'm surprised it's taken nearly 20 years for WoF to return to UK screens but I assume Sony has tried pitching it over the years with not much success until now.

I can’t really see it being for anyone other than ITV, but I’d put Channel 4 or Channel 5 as more likely than the BBC.
Rijowhi, DE88 and Brekkie gave kudos

Can production companies these days not play things straight anymore without adding little bits here and there and changing end games?

If it is coming back, stick to whats best without having to ruin it for no reason at all.

Wheel of Fortune followed by The Wheel could be quite confusing!

Wow, 2 new hosting gigs announced in one day for her (assuming The Sun is correct).

At least she'll have wheel experience from Spin to Win 🙄

I’m not quite sure this is happening to quite the same extent as you’re making out.
