Whats happened to Maxine Mawhinney?

Well Maxine must be ill or something, as this morning on News 24, at 0900 it was Bill Turnbull, 1000 Chris Eakin, so hopefully Chris will be on all morning! I like the way Chris always says 'Ah Goodmorning' when he starts his bulletin!

Yeah, I noticed that - threw me completely at 10am!

Yeah - Chris always has to put in an 'Ahh' before he starts. It's damn funny when he does that. He says the 'Ahh' as if to say, 'Ahh, there you are!' Sometimes he says it as if he's not ready to read off the autocue.

Perhaps she wasnt on on Sunday as she is taking Jane Hill's Place on the 4pm+ slot since she is in America at the moment

Yes, that might be the reason.

She wasn't on on Saturday, but she was on Sunday. She moved to 4pm-6pm slot today (Monday) instead of 1pm-4pm, where Valerie Sanderson had to move forward a day! She's also replacing Joanna Gosling with Chris Eakin on Friday! So somebody else must be doing the slot with Matthew then.

Its all getting a bit complicated!

It will be nice to see Maxine more since shes only on at the weekends, I think she suits working with someone else too rather than on her own like at the weekends

Well she does do Monday with Bill Turnbull anyway. I'd like to see more of Phil Hayton, Peter Coe and I'd really like Anita McNaught to move across. Actually, Adrian Finighan is presenting the overnight service on Saturday morning!

Yes I would like to see Peter and Philip on a more permenant slot

I think its about time they re organise all the presters for a change to keep it fresh

Put Bill Turnbull permenantly on Breakfast and put Matthew Amroliwala on the National News since he seems to be fitting in there so far, actually I think he would be great for the ten o clock news to replace Michael or Peter when they decide to leave. I would also get Gheeta Guru Murthy to be on in the early or late evenings permenantly as shes good
