• Keep Emmerdale 5 nights a week, it works and stuffs Eastenders in any head-to-heads but reduce Corrie to Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

...

Agree with most of what you say - it's all common sense really.

The only thing I disagree with is cutting back Corrie - I just say reschedule it at 7.30pm weekdays so it doesn't impact to much on the rest of the primetime schedule, freeing up the 8pm slot to try something new, and also freeing up early Sunday evening.
!

Im sure you've said that before about moving Corrie to Monday-Friday at 7.30pm. I strongly disagree. If they must show 5 episodes a week id rather them schedule it as it is now. I like the episodes spread out across the week with Tuesday's/Thursday's off rather than have it 5 episodes in a row. I dont care what they do with Emmerdale, they can show it 7 nights a week for an hour for all I care as I stopped watching that earlier this year.

ITV don't care about what you 'would rather' though.

Well im a viewer so they should care about what their viewers want. And I dont care if they do, im just giving an opinion.

As for suggesting lapse into depression at something like that - you are the one that's an idiot mate.

If you say so... Confused

You do seem to rattle on about the scheduling of Corrie far too much, and that's plain to see. I'm basically getting abuse slung at me by people like you and cdukjunkie for speaking my mind.

I do talk about the scheduling of Corrie, but usually only when the subject comes up. I would prefer Corrie 3 times a week, or if they must show it 5 times a week then as it is now rather than 5 consecutive nights. Im sure many other fans would prefer to have a break between episodes. However its not that much of a big deal, there are more important things to worry about Rolling Eyes

And im getting abuse slung at me, as you call it, by you for speaking my mind, and not for the first time by you either.

Oh, look what I've caused now! Let's get back on track guys and not ruin a perfectly valid topic!

Anyhow, at the risk of causing World War 2535623, a more radical idea for the scheduling of soaps - axing the half hour editions in favour of hour long episodes three nights a week, with Emmerdale on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and Corrie on Monday, Wednesday and Friday!

Corrie on Mon, Wed and Fri is good but half hour episodes not 1 hour (keep 1 hour episodes for special occasions)

You really need to stop thinking ideally and get real. That utopian schedule will never happen, Corrie and Emmerdale will be at 5 times a week for the forseeable future.

So what is this you are doing now when Jez dares to 'speak his mind'? What a complete arse.

Why should I? Just because "you" say so? Rolling Eyes Im only giving my opinion and im well aware that ITV wont reduce the number of episodes from 5 a week - im just saying what id like to happen in my opinion so dont keep having a go at me.

Of course I don't want you to listen to me, do you think I expect the impossible? I just feel sorry for you, yearning for something that will never happen, and being so emotionally attached to timeslots that you jump on anybody who suggests a change to the norm you are seemingly obsessed with and force the 'I disagree, keep it as it is, or cut it down to 3 nights' garbage down their throats.

I don't really wish to argue with you (and your little sidekick cdukjunkie) but I'm quite happy to come back every now and then and respond to you, unless that is you want to maturely end this as well.

Im not jumping down anyone's throat here, im just saying I disagree. You are the one who keeps insisting your opinion is correct and that Corrie wont go back to 3 episodes a week - I never said it would, all I said is I would like that to happen. And im not yearning for it to happen at all, I dont give it a second thought apart from when the subject comes up on here. You are the one who seems to want to cause an argument here and are making more fuss than anyone else.

I dont wish to argue any further so wont be making any more responses to you on this subject.

Moving on...

And Charles Allen is set to use his speech at the Edinburgh TV Festival to go on the attack and slate Channel 4!

Seems to be a continuation of their "If you can't beat them, slate them" policy!
