The Price is Right is good, but I hardly watch it because the slot its in isnt really convenient for me. And why show 2 episodes a day?
i think it could be good on a Saturday night
You clearly didn't see enough of it to realise what a pile of crap it's being turned into.

The Price is Right is the worse thing to hit ITV Daytime since, well, probably ever! Even daytime Catchphrase and daytime Family Fortunes were better!
The "so bad it's good" thing worked well for the Gameshow Marathon when the idea was to look back on these shows with a nostalgic embarrasment - but as a genuine game show of the 21st century it is nothing but painfully dated!

'Price Is Right' returns to primetime

The Price Is Right is returning to primetime, according to a report today.
The cult gameshow currently airs in the ITV1 teatime slot every weekday, hosted by I'm A Celebrity winner Joe Pasquale. Executives are now said to be commissioning 30 one-hour shows which will air on Saturday nights later this year.
A source told The People, "They've already commissioned 150 shows but the 30 new ones are destined for Saturdays. It's a closely guarded secret but it's got ratings winner written all over it."

Are you on comission at ITV or something? It's just getting stupid now...
and so is everyone else's overall negative opinion on any subject regarding ITV. I thought this place was above Digital Spy but it's just as bad thesedays

The over the top upbeat screaming and shouting will probably work better on a Saturday night than in a daytime slot. I expect they will be able to increase the budget for the Showcase Showdown as well

No, I liked the ITV of past but can't stand the current management. Why? Because the programming coming out of there is appalling. Simple as. They've ruined a channel I used to love. And I don't think I'm alone in this thinking.
Whatever is said about ITV on this forum though, Andrew will always be there to save the day!

Well lets see how autumn progresses, but something has to be done about ITV surely now, shareholders can only stomach so much!

Maybe. The issue though is that you seem to take it very personally.

Well up until today I would have agreed and waited in anticipation for what the autumn would bring, but seeing that they're moving Price is Right to primetime Saturday night says it all really. Of course returning shows like X Factor and Saturday Night Takeaway will boost the situation, but what else have they got?

Good article at MediaGuardian today with one of the ITV bosses (who is rumoured to be on his way out) outlining all of ITV's mistakes, mainly concerning drama and the loss of regional brands.
Not sure I agree though that if some 90-minute programmes like Murder City and Island at War had been in hour-long slots they'd have done better!

After reading the peice on the BBC website I must admit I do agree with Andy Harris - ITV is Bargain Basement, ITV has lost its way!!! Has he been reading the posts on this and other sites?????
I just hope the CA successor takes on board all the comments made in various press related sites and does something to stop the rot and to rebuild the ITV brand into what it once was - Good Children's, Good Hard Documentaries, Good Natural History, Great Drama, Informative News and Good Entertainment and little reliance on soaps and reality!
