Does any one know what happend to BBC 2 at 1:24 on 15th May 2001 - I turned over to BBC 2 (BBC learning zone) and I saw a message saying 'We are sorry for the break in this programme and are trying to correct the fault.' and some music playing in the background (not bad music I must say!).

This showed for about 13 mins and then in all that time, only one voiceover was made by a man saying ' Well I am afraid we seem to be having a problem with the programme, We are trying to get it sorted out, Please stay with us and we will start it as soon as we possably can.'

After this, 4 mins later the music faded out and 30 sec later he said ' Traditional entertainment from Inderneser now on BBC learning zone as we enjoy the sites and sounds of Wayang Golék.' - Not even a sorry at the end of it!!!

If any one know waht happend please let me know because I would just like to know.

Thank - You
Aaron.

The reason he didn't say sorry was that final annoucement was meant to be over the normal Learning Zone ident. The voiceovers are recorded (probably hours before) and that apology announcement is a generic one.

Even if it was the same voice at the end and the same voice for the voiceover?

And what about channel 4 on the 17/05/01 at 11:42AM - water in the electrics so they say - It was the cricket and it was poring down with rain, so it may be true.

But did anyone else see this???

Cheers
Aaron.

The other day Channle 4 fizzled out for about 5 mins with just 'snow' then it poped back on with 'oh sorry about that back the the program!'

Does anyone (with a very good memory) remember on St Patrick's Day 1993, during the Big Breakfast, we lost Channel 4 completely? there was just snow, then they eventually got it back, showed the Big Breakfast apology caption briefly and then Chris Evans came on switching on an electric socket proclaiming 'Damn Leprechauns, it was the little fella!'

Classic!

A few months ago, the Big Breakfast froze at 7.13am, on the presenters sitting on the sofa. I went off to college at 8.25, and it was still frozen, so I don't know if the programme ever came back on air.
