Bit of a silly question..... if there was unlimited space I'd like to see every english speaking channel in the world (and quite a few foreign ones too!)
If they added Sky One, made UK Gold 24 hours and add Paramount's 1 and 2, I would happily get rid of NTL and exhange it for a Freeview or Top Up TV service. Though I can't see this happening, though I think that Freeview has a good choice of channels, but Top Up needs sorting out, I don't think theres any need for UK Style and UK Food to be on it, as Freeview already has UK Bright Ideas.
Well it's pretty obvious that even if there was space for every channel on the globe, along with a +1 and +2, these channels wouldn't be able to afford to run for free. I know most of the Sky subscription fee goes to the Murdoch Shilling, but I'm sure a proportion goes to the respective pay channels. Otherwise they would be free-to-view on Satellite/cable already.
So in other words the question is "what channels would you like to view for bugger all per month?".
Freeview is a replacement for Analogue terrestrial not competition for SKY & Cable so to be honest I would be happy to just get BBC ONE, TWO, BBC THREE, FOUR, ITV 1, 2, Channel 4 and Five.
That is 5 more 'quality' channels than I get on analogue at the moment so already a value added service.
