Does anyone have the mp3s of Westminster Live, from BBC Two, as I watched it this afternoon, and the corporate theme is excellent!! Its really got a good beat to it, while keeping to the corporate style.

Why is Westminster Live broadcast in 4:3? Is it because the cameras in The Commons are all really old?

It is broadcast in 16:9 on digital and 14:9 on analogue. The pictures from the HoC are zoomed and cropped to 14:9, and look bloody awful!

The quality is not the best, but here are the opening titles of Westminster Live.
Westminster Live - Opening - 600 kB

I just found it on an old video tape. I also found the opening theme of Budget Day 2001.

Budget Day 2001 - Opening - 1,20 Mb (It's the worth to download it)

Also, does anyone have a clean versions of the this? It sounds rather good! Smile

I think that before Westminster Live went semi-corporate, the theme was better.

I haven't heard the Budget Day end theme. Sad .

Can you imagine News 24 adopting this music? I could picture the budget day title music as the countdown leading cleanly into the headlines.

I hate the astons on Westminster Live, what an ugly colour they are!

Since Westminster Live begun in Widescreen they have dropped the vile brown astons. They now have the same purple ones used on the naional news and BBC News 24. The Live dog is the same as well.

Anyone agree that the BBC General Election theme music is good?
