I've just been watching an interview on Breakfast in which the interviewee was in the Westminster studio. Nothing notable there, but in the background, not that far away, was a portable TV showing CBBC@UKool (actually Pingu) which was on BBC 2 at the time. why would anyone at BBC News want to watch Pingu!!

Well Brekky had a nice Dr Who feature on today, and used an empty bit of the studio (did they use the Business News area) to have a real life Dalek and the famous police box time machine.
Bill Turnbull announced at the end of the show all the things that had gone wrong on the show, becuase it was Friday 13th!
His microphone didnt work twice
Camera broke down
Lost the link from Beijing
and i laughed when Bill said the the Director of Brekky sounded like an evil Dalek!!
Oh, and why did the menu on the 0400 News 24 countdown say that Brekky was to be presented by Darren Jordon, but Bill Turnbull appeared at 0600 - Did Mr Jordon fall asleep 10 mins before he was due on air?

Westminster programmes are usually aired on BBC 2, so guess it was left on that channel last night. Anyway, Pingu is the coolest penguin going!
The News24 menu is automated and is prepared in advance. Maybe the Presenters rotas had changed and the person who types the menus hadn't been told.
I am really happy, because when ever they show the westminister studio, the PC's have the BBC News screensaver, or the BBC ripples backgound, which make my PC look like a BBC PC (no i am not sad)
I saw Channel 4 on the other day on Wesminster screens which is the first non BBC channel i've seen in any of their news rooms.
Also did anyone see the end of brekkie this morning
the headlines bed went on for ages. I wish someone could leak it out as it's the best i've heard, the way it builds.

The current Brekky bed with stings etc. shall be appearing on The Newsroom
Launching in a couple of weeks, if anyone can help with BBC or ITV regional news, then you would be a HUGE help!
