Did I miss an intermediate announcement or am I going senile?

(Best the usual suspects DON'T answer that!)

I thought that trial was going to be in Scotland.

Hmmmm, yes a local pilot was to take place from Dumfries I believe, but I think that may still happen because they are moving home in dumfries, or so I am led to believe, and I would imagine that they will get larger premises, and then a pilot may take place.

It's not, as I understand it, a local tv "channel", more a local broadband video news service.

It's a channel only if you call a regularly updated 10-minute bulletin on a loop, a channel.

Not sure about this - both the BBC and ITV struggle to fill their standard regional bulletins with actual news without splitting the regions further.

On the other hand - especially here in North Wales - the main Wales Today bulletin doesn't cover the area anywhere near as well as many people here would like.

well local radio stations manage to fill the entire day with local news and such like. itv or any other commercial organization couldnt possibly afford to venture into this kind of area, so i think its well worth the bbc dipping their toe in the water!

how does this differ from the bbci hull project?

There's plenty going on in Birmingham and the west midlands region - perhaps not much happens in Wales Wink
