Was just noting that after the late film tonight lethal weapon 2, rather than just straight away go to jackpot 24/7 ( night screen in ci and TELESHOPPING on utv), itv are for goodness knows what reason are showing an episode of you’ve been framed before going on to show the aforemtioned programmes. Just wondered why this would be and if anyone could think of any other strange late night scheduling decisions, etc, to share.

The reason could be that Jackpot247 only has a 90 minute slot contracted on ITV tonight from 1.30am-3.00am and ITV had to fill a 30 minute void and so they chose one of the cheapest programmes to fill it. It costs them nothing virtually, You've Been Framed is a good choice.

Why doesn't Channel get the same teleshopping programme as UTV?

Again another interesting question some nights itv Channel Islands have had 5 hours of nightscreen continuously running

I'm not 100% sure, but I think there might be some laws in the Channel Islands, either in Guernsey or Jersey, about commercial activity on TV. The laws regarding Teleshopping are somewhat less lenient than on the mainland, if memory serves me correctly.

It's not a sneaky way of getting the regional quota in is it?

These arrangements date from before UTV was part of ITV.

I expect nobody really cares and has no inclination of aligning the two non-Jackpot 247 streams into one. The audience watching ITV overnight in the Channel Islands must be about 4 people.
