The BBC seems to be aiming for younger presenters, with the addition of Craig Doyle.
Simon Gilbert has just left the Yorkshire weather team, so they will be a bit thin on the ground for weather presenters, if there is indeed any basis to these 'rumours'.

And where has this information come from??? As its your first post, I dont know if your one of the folk who know inside knowledge or is a timewaster. Not holding my breath, but I will wait and see if it true first before more is said.
Anyway, As far as GMG Weather goes, We all know that 'The Gosney' Is the best!!
I hope this isn't true, to be honest Jo is my favourite out of the GMG North and to be honest we are fortunate to have her on quite often, considering now Simon Gilbert has left and Debbie Lindley never seems to appear anymore.
To be honest the Weather we have now is better than the weather which the team at Manchester used to provide. But it's a shame we never get Fred Talbot doing the weather anymore.
