Crying or Very sad

Was my favorite network. Was a really sad goodbye. They showed the premires of all there hit shows from the 90's. Then they had a montage of all there actors, and then the frog bowed and therewas a goodbye with sad music. Then my affiliate showed all the past logos and then showed the CW11 logo. Then the news started. At least some of the wb will be in the cw.

They've merged with CBS' UPN.

I've known about the planned merger for some time now.

What's happened in areas that had both a WB and UPN station? Has one basically disappeared, or has one become a CW station, and the other gone independent or affiliated with someone else?

The ones affiliated with the UPN network have (on-the-whole) transferred to the new myNetworkTV, owned by Murdoch. Some have gone independent. Same for the WB side. Most have gone to The CW, some independent. I *think* one or two have 'switched sides' so to speak.

I was gonna start a new thread but I'll post it here:

The WB's final night on air

They began with showing pilots of Felicity, then Angel after that it was a 2hr pilot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and finally Dawsons Creek, they showed old flashbacks of idents and promos during the advert breaks. Even though TheCW launches in 2 days, I did find it annoying that the In Programme advert promoting TheCW popped up in the middle of the parts of programmes, TheWB watermark of course wasn't shown just the "Coming This Week THE CW" one.

They did the generic credits for most of the shows except Dawsons Creek, when it finished it didn't go to the studio credits straight away they went to a advert break, then came back to a Goodbye promo showing past TheWB stars from past shows, and there was a goodbye message at the end (very classyly done) Sad They went back to the Dawsons Creek studio credits and played the endcaps to it's full.
Video of the goodbye message (Micighan J Frog their mascot came back yay Very Happy) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xftR1CqOgyU

I feel kinda sad TheWB has gone but they had a nice classy send off compared to "Who gives a f*ck" UPN. Laughing

RIP The WB, you will be missed. Sad Crying or Very sad

If you click on the link that says "CW INTRO, that was what played after the WB farewell. IT also has the new news titles.
Anyways, how did you watch it if you are in the UK? I never watched UPN so I don't care about that. The only good show on it was veronica mars, which was on UPN. That will be on the CW.
