I think you will find, in regard to the Grange Hill forum that the older members (over 20) usually discuss who they fancied WHEN they were the same age, not current characters, I mean that person would be the same age as them now anyway.
When I was in my teens and watched GH I fancied a lot of the cast members on the show, but they were of similar age. What is wrong with posting who you fancied when you were younger ? Can you no longer say who you dated or thought was attractive when you were under 16 just because you are now over that age ???
Also remember that forum is full of people from all ages, so if anyone does discuss a current character they fancy, the chances are they are of similar age. The forum is not just for 80s or 90s fans. Also IF any older members have commented on the looks of a current character then chances are they have only said they are good looking, nothing lewd.
I hate political correctness, and if this is what it has come down to, then god help us all.

There's a big difference saying you fancy someone and saying you want to have sex with them. You have completely misunderstood the nature of our thread; all we are doing is imagining ourselves to be the same age as the characters and saying who we'd have found attractive if these characters were at our own schools.
If you think the concept of someone fancying another person is that seedy, then to you Worzel Gummidge's pursuit of Aunt Sally was corrupting to young minds!
It is possible to be attracted to someone for non-physical reasons. Their personality for example. I have not discussed with my colleague what he finds attractive about Chrissy Mainwaring, but there's more to attraction than body.
Any "babe gallery" (and there are no immediate plans for one) would simply be a presentation of GH publicity photos and/or screen shots. No "revealing" poses - just portraits for reference.
Once again we are NOT promoting that kind of attitude! We are simply looking on our own schooldays (which for some members are current and others long gone) and imagining ourselves to be at Grange Hill. You may have forgotten but 11-16 years olds DO get crushes on their peers. Your parents may well have reminisced about who they fancied at school. It's all perfectly innocent as far as I'm concerned.
If you really want to read some grubby postings, I suggest you check out the guestbook at http://uk.geocities.com/kaceybarnfield/. This is a fan site for the actress Kacey Barnfield, and updates have been long abandoned. Some weeks ago a 38-year old man posted graphic details of what he wanted to do to Kacey in her school uniform - and there's every chance this could have been written before Kacey turned 16 earlier this year. I alerted the moderator and the offending entry has now been removed.
Anyone who wrote that on our forum would receive an instant ban. We are very safe-surf conscious at GH Online; anyone who joins our Video Exchange has to submit full contact details which we could turn over to the authorities in case of any impropriety. And if an older member even thinks about inappropriate conduct towards a younger one, they'll be shown the door too.
Let's face it, this kind of thread was bound to come up sooner or later. It's a discussion school playgrounds are full of, and were full of when we were at school. If I was to ban this thread I'd be seen as overtly censorial and that's one thing I've gone out of my way to ensure I'm not viewed as. In the absence of anything lewd or too suggestive, I can see no reason to intervene, though obviously we will continue to monitor the situation.
That you jupiter2! One of the reasons I set up GH Online was because I felt anything on the web about Grange Hill was biased towards the early years. It's due to this thinking that more recent episodes don't get the credit they deserve, and risks promoting Grange Hill as a programme that used to be on, but isn't any more.
We'd love to hear from current fans - GH Online is for everyone!

Oh, Simon, the thread is all about which (possibly) underage female that the members of GH Online want to or did want to have sex with!!!
The sight of a bunch of teenies and a bunch of older guys on the same forum lusting after these young women sends all the wrong signals.

One of the moderators used this in a post which is a little creepy -
Chrissy Mainwairing - especially in younger years
I think we will need to get a babe gallery running on the site!
There's something not right about that.

Sixth form I don't have an issue with, but 'the younger the better' attitude is wrong.

It's about standards, Simon, and that thread shows none.

I hate to be a buzz-wreck here, but since this thread is ostensibly about TV Forum, this TV Ark/GH Online stuff is really off topic and should probably be stopped and taken to PM. I don't want to close an otherwise productive thread over something silly like that, but I will if I have to.
Comments, suggestions, and criticism for TV Forum are welcome and encouraged, but TV Ark and Grange Hill comments should probably be directed to their respective fora.

Thank you Mr Tom! I've said everything I think needs to be said on this matter, and I trust it will close there. However I'm sure you'll agree the points made did need to be addressed.
