It's a website. Not a club, a service or a critical part of everyday life. If you can't cut the morons, don't tap tvforum.co.uk into the address bar.
The only thing that will make this place better is an end to the continuing threads telling us why TV Forum is worse than plague and how it should be improved.
I think a lot of the original intention of thie post is aimed towards the member sky one unden. He has already been previously banned under the name of paul2001 but has re-registered. All his posts are either copied and pasted from other websites or are meaningless gibberish, and I have had some very odd PMs from him. I aggre that he needs to be banned, but if his track record on Digitalspy is anything to go by, he'll keep coming back. He's already done it once here, he won't take the hint. A lot like Lee "Then" Bedwood & www_dot_tomd
The forum has hit some lows over the summer - but things seem to be getting back on track.
False postings by one member on the main forum and idiotic mocks (or even stolen mocks!) in the Mocks forum have caused problems - both members have now been banned - but I just hope the mods see sense and ban people who cause problems like this permanently!
It's a bit of forum ettiquette among all members that is really needed. I know it's difficult, but try to ignore the pointless posts and the posters will soon get fed up - the replies - even if it's just stating the obvious - just encourage. Use the Report this Post feature instead.
And talking of Report this Post - I think the design of the forum needs to make it clearer where this function is - I lost it for a few months over the summer!

Have to say, I've always thought of that as a pretty poor argument.
I find a lot of the information on here useful, interesting, and enjoyable to read. A lot of it - mixed in with the decent stuff - is a load of crap. So, I am not just going to stop reading on the grounds of the tail wagging the dog.
A huge string of comments on someone's poor grammar or spelling is a lot more of an inconvenience to wade through than the offending post itself.
Totally agree there - and I welcome what Uncle Bruce has done in creating a separate thread to highlight a problem
It would have been even better if he'd have quoted from other threads in this thread, leaving the other threads clear. It only goes OT if complaints are made in the thread.
Moz, don't take this thread personally. To be honest, I find you one of the more sane, upstanding members of this site right now.

Bruce, actually.
It might not be an essential part of anyone's life, but that's no reason once every so often to have a little chat about how things are going at a place you enjoy visiting.
And I'd hardly say there's a trend of contineuing threads about this subject. This is the first for quite a few months.
I've been with this site since the very start, although until recently under a different name. I can't remember this site being any worse than it is now. Period.
OK, so just one look at my post count will tell you that I'm not a regular poster, but, I myself am only 14 and laugh when I see some of the topics being posted here.
There's generally two extremes with forum posters:
a) the amateur who starts threads without checking the similar titled thread under his on the index page. Also POSTS IN CAPS to look important. Will sometimes use txt spk 2 pls can u hlp?!! Loves Smileys too!
b) the forum know-it-all - Looks down on anyone who doesnt know as much as him. Any rumour posted is instantly dismissed. Looking to be a mod but doesnt have the necessary social skills to be friendly.
I don't know if you're aiming that at me or not, Dan.
As some know I actually host and mod a very big website for part of my job. I don't think my skills to be a mod are in doubt.
That having been said, during my diatribe I hoped someone else who had a bit more time would rear their heads and offer. It's a lawless place here right now, and someone needs to be a bit strict.
I don't know what's going on with the mods here, but you'd usually find them in here defending themselves by now.
