Anyone remember a shows on Children's BBC in 1991/2 called 'Watt On Earth' ?? about a back to front eared alien who visits earth and a yung man finds him and hides him in his bedroom

You would think that they could show it again on the CBBC channel .. but my guess is the reels have been destroyed by now

I remember that - I even remember it was written by Pip & Jane Baker, because they wrote Trial of a Time Lord so it always felt like it was their fault Doctor Who got cancelled the first time!

Watt was a bit of a daft character, the alien fish out of water, but I remember the bad guy, Jemedah (not sure about the spelling, but I remember the similarity to the Jem'Hadar from DS9) was quite creepy - I think he was able to imitate people, where Watt was limited to imitating inaminate objects, but I could be mistaken.

No your spot on. I would love to see it again personally

I had about 20 of the episodes on tape for donkeys years, have long gone now......Surely prints must still be out there somewhere. If you put into a search engine it only brings up 2 pages
One with a paragraph telling me what I already know and the other is my own entry for it on tvtome... Rolling Eyes

Haha, when I first started work there was still a shelf in the office I was in that was labelled "Watt on Earth Series Two", but the contents had long gone...

Extrordinarily unlikely.

It'd be nice to see it again, though. I still think they should launch UK Kids...

The policy of reusing videotape was only implemented in the 60s and early 70s when videotape was extremely expensive stuff. Even the worst tv programmes of recent years are still held in the archives!
