Is Denise Welch still in it? I can't imagine her acting in anything, not since she became that party-animal Loose Lady that she is.

And that young actor, Lucious, or something like that. What do we all think of him? Ooer!

i liked the epsiode yesterday but it did have its bad points like
There was no Josh , Denzil , Harley or Janceece in the epsiode
when Emily fainted in the epsiode she seemed to be smiling when she fell

How will the world cope?!?

They should write the character Josh out of it completely; the character's gay, not a sex pest - so why write in lines where he makes sexually orientated jokes towards other males?

Could be worse for Birmingham though. It could be Liverpool - a complete nowhere place of nothingness in the BBC's conciousness despite being one of the larger cities in the UK. We're lucky that we've been considered worthy of a local radio station, quite frankly and I bet that'll be wound down in years to come. Rolling Eyes

Indeed, the last internal BBC programme made there was actually not made by BBC North West/Manchester at all, but BBC Birmingham (Merseybeat)

A very under-represented city indeed!!

Back to Waterloo Road, are they also forgetting that Scotland has a different education system to the majority of the country? Surely that will also alienate many fans? I've really enjoyed Waterloo Road over the years and unfortunately I can see Series 8 being the last.
Good point, they don't do GCSEs and A-Levels. If it's set in Scotland and they still refer to GCSEs, it'd be a Critical Research Failure.

We have, "Higher Still"

* Standard Grades,
* Intermediate 1,
* Intermediate 2
* Higher
* Advance Higher

Don't forget Access, and the Standard Grade course is getting scrapped and getting replaced when the current S2 year goes into S3,

So currently it goes-
* Access1
* Access 2
* Access 3
* Standard Grades
-Foundation
-General
-Credit
* Intermediate 1 - General Equivalent
* Intermediate 2 - Credit Equivalent
* Higher
* Advanced Higher

The new curriculum is based around Curriculum for Excellence, a new initiative that adds enterprise add extra things into the core and selected subjects

So in what way do these compare to the English and Welsh education system of GCSE's, AS-Level and A-Level?

So currently it goes:

* Access 1/2/ 3
* Intermediate 1 - General Equivalent
* Intermediate 2 - Credit Equivalent

These 3 all come under the GCSE's

* Higher
should be AS-Level

* Advanced Higher / HNC
Should be A-Level

More details here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_Credit_and_Qualifications_Framework also Scotland does NOT have ''Sixth form college'' This will make it even more confusing for some English viewers.

just watched the epsiode and thought it was quite good , just wondering if you guys think the guy who broke into Michael house is a known character or not , for some reason i think the main choice if it is a main character is Phoneix but for some reason Denzil pops into my head because he wasn't in the epsiode much and not had much of a story line so far

29 days later
