Not a stable source but if true, has The Weakest Link had it's day perhaps?

One thing doesn't lead to the other. I'm sure it's possible to front both shows.

Bad move to bring back AR I think.

Nicky and Julia seem to work well together. I wonder if they'll continue to have the reporters doing a bit of studio presenting as they have done as late as well?

Some other details (from the Daily Mail...!);

"Ms Robinson will continue to present The Weakest Link, travelling to Scotland to film blocks of the quiz show in between Watchdog episodes"

"Mr Campbell will continue presenting the Radio 5 Live breakfast show, as well as Sunday religious show The Big Questions and the quiz show Battle Of The Brains. A TV source said: ‘Nicky is going to be moving up to Manchester when 45 Live goes to the BBC’s new Mediacity:UK in Salford in two years’ time"

They also say it will move to a new one-hour timeslot instead of 30 mins.

Might actually watch again if Campbell is going, can't stand his approach and presentation. Hope when he moves to Salford that he stays at Breakfast and doesn't pollute the rest of the 5live schedules.

I would hope they bring back some of the old Watchdog feel, and even the touch of That's Life the show had when Anne was last presenter.

Also Hour Long is brilliant, so much more can be covered.

Yes, but it's moving north as part of the BBC's plans to, er, move things north a bit (or in this case, quite a lot).

Indeed. I guess I was questioning what the ratings are like for Weakest Link these days.

Unbelievably, not bad considering how long it's been running. Although things are a lot tighter in that slot than they used to be. Personally, I prefer Goldenballs.

Slightly off topic but isn't moving half the stuff to Salford just basically moving the problem from Manchester to London.

I've got to agree. I find Nicky Campbell so horribly smug and full of his own importance. I've not been able to watch Watchdog since he took over, whereas I found it quite watchable in the Ann Robinson days.

I suppose it depends - I find the Campbell Watchdog much better than Anne's days, which by the end seemed to blather on about holidays and cars and not much else. I think I also prefer the presentation of the programme these days too, based in the office.
