Having got in from work and watched Watchdog on Homechoice, I was rather bemused by their technical difficulties tonight. Even more so when I heard the conversation at the end, the endboard being quickly faded in without music:

Julia Bradbury: "Well, there you go, it's always a hairy one sometimes, but occasonally it's [inaudible]."

Nicky Campbell: "What's a hairy one?"

Julia: "Yours."

How rude! Just as well that most people won't have heard it properly.

Normally I'd put this in the requests, but on the subject, does anyone know the song that was on the first story on Watchdog? I wasn't really watching it but it was definitely had a piano in it, no lyrics. Sorry it's a bit vague !

Homechoice is a London thing I think - it's where you get TV over an ADSL line. A bit like cable in some parts of the country but via your telephone line.

Thanks Cool

Seems like an odd thing for beefqueen to have said.

Normally people say: "I watched [ programme ] on [ channel (e.g. Sky One) ]"
Rather than: "I watched [ programme ] on [ platform (e.g. Freeview, etc) ]" Confused

I'd imagine beefqueen watched it through on-demand, hence mentioned the platform rather than the channel. The same way people sometimes say they've Sky plus-ed it.
