Sophie Raworth? Steph McGovern? Eurgh. The BBC are getting more like ITV every day with presenters appearing on absolutely everything. One more programme I won't be bothering with.

Is there anything you ACTUALLY like about television?

Yes if they are soliciting reactions and responses to the items being featured.

Which they're not this series by the looks of it. Which isn't a bad thing, as it always seemed rushed and added nothing to the content of the programme.

I guess the dome will spend the week in a crate parked next to the Crimewatch 'mobile incident room' next to each other in the basement car park at NBH?

Two great ideas, right there..

Seriously, if Watchdog is now pre recorded, why not do it in B, around 6pm, which leaves plenty of time to restrike for Newsnight use from mid-evening?

It shows that a plastic dome has less sound issues than a glass box too Very Happy

If it isn't under a shelter, just wait until it rains. Think of the sound when you are out camping!

At least there are a few other locations they could broadcast from...

Or maybe it’s a missed opportunity for Crimewatchdog

“This week, meet the gang who’s 2012 Corsa D getaway car caught fire as they sped down the motorway. Thousands of pounds in used banknotes went up in flames right before their eyes, yet Vauxhall won’t even say sorry...”

I have to be honest in my opinion this show is not the same since Anne Robinson left. It need a strong character and to be honest it's just become a bore fest. I miss the banter between Chris and Anne.

They could do with someone like Esther Rantzen or Angela Rippon. A strong female character who wouldn't be afraid to go up to the heads of companies like Annie did.

A prime example:

Sophie or Steph would just accept her answers and move on. They could even get Eileen to host!

Sophie and Steph have their hands tied to an extent by being part of BBC News, with impartiality even more important than within the BBC as a whole, even when holding wrong ones to account.
Mrbean 12 and London Lite gave kudos

If the companies sent more people like that Ann would have stayed.
