Watch UK FTA channels for free on web outside UK?

Just wondering is there any good website to watch UK FTA channels for free from outside the UK? Online they all ask for VPNs for most websites. I was using TVCatchup, but now that redirects to Transporter TV. Transporter TV was free for a while but now you have to pay for it. Is a VPN messy or any other websites?
