A 13-minute preview on the BBC press site - the BBC at it's very best:

A brief overview here: http://www.c21media.net/bbc-plans-four-year-wwi-season/

The season begins with a Jeremy Paxman documentary series on BBC1 - Britain's Great War, and includes a number of drama series and one-offs across BBC1, BBC2 and BBC3, plus documentaries and debates.

Radio 4 includes Day by Day - a series of news bulletins set 100 years earlier to the day reporting the events which led to war, and Homefront - a 4 year drama series with daily episodes set 100 years earlier.

Really worth watching that preview - a great reminder of the BBC at it's best and I hope the BBC can find a 15 minute slot to air it on TV before the end of the year too, ideally in a simulcast across the main channels.
