I wonder if News 24 is going to be on earlier tonight, like it was in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on America.

From a TV Presentation point of view, will these attacks mean Look North Hull may not start tommorow and/or the new regional clocks/balloons won't be seen?

New regional balloons Shocked  Confused

Sorry 'New Balloons' as in, tommorow in the North we are to be 'BBC Yorkshire' or 'BBC Lincolnshire & East Yorks' or something like that with new announcements
As you will recall, after September 11th, Regional inserts were dropped

Stayed separate as far as I know. News 24 had Peter Dobbie, Gavin Esler, Huw Edwards, Carrie Gracie and Jane Hill on. Nik Gowing was on World.

That was Asa methinks. Back onto the War, I certainly wasn't expecting this today. It has definately shocked me, but of course not as shocking as the events of the 11th Sad First I heard of it was on here, then I immediately switched over to News 24 to see what is happening. I haven't managed to go downstairs yet to see Sky's version, but I don't suppose much is different??

BBC seem to be making maximum use of their resources now with live links, pictures from other news sources etc.

ITV News is signing off: 'Well be back later at 8pm, and any new developments as they happen'. Ends with Blue screen, weather appears, and Pop Idol (I guess) is next.

BBC News Special on BBC News 24 has been excellent! The best coverage in my opinion, and I'm not being biased!

Lol, we've just had a trailer 'Anybody's Nightmare' Tonight at 8 on ITV1
The news is going to be at 8.

There are adverts on ITV1 now, I'm sure that the regional news could have been slotted in here, for those who haven't had any yet.

So now at 6.40 we've got Pop Idol, and no Regional News tonight!

The BBC resources around the world are certainly coming into their own. Just watching John Simpson on videophone from near Kabul ... they've certainly been to more places that Sky or ITN ... surprised that ITV have decided to ditch coverage with Tony Blair about to speak.

Maybe they will rejoin them if more developments occur.

(MS)NBC are impressing me rather a lot at the moment. If only they weren't using such stupid graphics.

BBC seems to be limited in that they haven't yet joined World and the main BBC coverage, which is very silly indeed. Sky are lucky in the respect that they only have one network to provide news for. Oh, ITV have given up.

To be honest, it doesn't really matter who you watch - as long as it isn't ITV - because you'll see the same pictures, places etc.

I shall watch Sky to see Mr Boulton reporting on Tony's speech but regardless of which network you normally prefer, it's just a time to flick about to see who's got what, not stick with just the one.

A lot of tihs over the next few hours then...
