I'm watching the regular simulcast of BBC World News in the US and I noticed that they put up an aston with text in Spanish for a little while -- that is new isn't it? I've never seen that before!

Just noticed that Peter Dobbie was interviewing, and asked a question, and the interviewee took out his ear piece to terminate the interview! Poor Peter didn't know what to do next!

I was gonna suggest that BBC News 24 and BBC World just merge their damn outputs (I'm in sort of a crabby mood today) to save money, but then I realized that BBC World is a commerical channel.

I would rather see BBC News 24 if I was a British person living in another country.

How come the BBC News Special at 1700 is not being broadcast on BBC News 24, yet it is on BBC World with Philippa Thomas from Washington? I'm utterly dissapointed. I've enjoyed watching the News Specials as well!

Because News 24 knew that the Northern Ireland Secretary would announce the ending of the loyalist ceasefires which they wanted to take live and World didn't.
I think you'll find they will be joint from 1730.
