Jeremy settled in quite nicely and moving along at a nice pace. Agree though the go rd and graphics in general look quite dated and is something they shouldn't have been afraid to modernise. However they are clear and legible which is something that can be overlooked by graphic designers.
I'm glad I'm not the only one twitching over the mix of fonts everywhere. Set is looking very good though. Lots of nice little touches - especially like how they placed beams of light on Jeremy for 'Ask the Host' and the use of a graphic on the floor really adds depth to the set as well.
Jeremy seems to have the potential to do well and some of his cracks so far have been pretty good. The problem is this first contestant is very dull and wooden. If they were someone he could bounce off a bit more, I think the pace would be improved. There's bound to be 'duller' contestants but ITV probably didn't want the first one to be one of them.
The graphics are as poor as I predicted. Not only have we got Tahoma/Verdana but we've also got Arial on the money tree to add salt into the wounds.
The music cues are a bit off in places. And the camera framing needs to be better. As within Fastest Finger First as well as in the contestants hotseat the screen is covering up half of the contestant so you only really see their head and shoulders.
Jeremy has been a bit awkward in places and needs to work on not reeling off the questions as if he's reading them off a script. But he has also been able to inject humour in equal measure.
