They're live action with people too - when did they manage to film those?

Interestingly Radio Times reported tonights episode as Series 33 18/20, so either they've got that wrong or these 'new' episodes were filmed at the same time as the previous lot and there are only going to be 3!

Self contained again and perhaps even filmed before Donald Fear as I was half expecting a reference from Jeremy at the start of the show (granted it felt like a lot was edited out to squeeze 3 contestants into the hour)

Also confused.com have a new sponsorship bumper which is a bit naff compared to the previous ones!

There are 6 episodes in this block according to ITV Press Centre. I believe they were filmed with the last lot back in the Summer, although I don’t know where that episode count comes from, unless they’ve bundled the 10 episodes that were filmed in Autumn 2019 (4 x celebrity and 6 x normal that aired May 2020), the 5 that aired in September and the 2 Christmas specials just gone all into one series. But even then, there are 3 episodes left in this block beyond the 20 if they’ve done that, so no idea where those numbers have been plucked from.

Looks like Aussie set has had a bit of an update to bring it more in line with the UK and US. Still haven’t managed to make it appear much bigger though.

I know it's makeshift but the Aus primetime show set is poor lighting wise etc compared to updated US/UK sets. Ask the Host basically no lights change etc. 3 lifelines - 50:50, Ask the host & switch.

Sadly they are using the 2007 rave music too.

The titles are the Olga van den Brandt titles. Not much of a fan of them either.

Cheap and tacky.

Glad the UK are using Potion Pictures for everything.

Yet most of Europe and now Australia are using those titles.

I wonder if the wall behind the FFF contestants is actually the video wall used on Hotseat rather than LED lights which is why it looks so flat. Meaning only the screen on the floor is really new?

I believe they're just the normal screens from Hotseat. They've even used the same FFF podiums and seats from Hotseat. Here's the opener:

And here's a recent ep of Hotseat for comparison:
