I don't know about the suggestions that this ought to be a PM conversation, what I want to know is why it didn't start in the Requests Forum in the first place?

I don't usually like to play the 'shouldn't this be in...' game, but I had to agree with Nick, this is an unsuitable place for this (and before anyone says it, yes I know I have posted a grand total (out of well over 4000 posts) of 2 posts which weren't suitable for this forum).
Anyway, Top Up TV has caused a renewed increase in the value of On Digital boxes. Before it's launch, they finally were becoming obsolete pieces of junk, of little value except to collectors, and their standard trading prices had hit an all time low in the face of new £40 DTT boxes.
But, there was a period of 6-8 weeks between the certainty that Top Up TV was coming and needed an old OD box, and that information becoming common knowledge. That was the time to buy a box. I'd been kicking myself in the feet, having sold all 4 of my boxes off, until I picked up a Pace OD box, in original packaging, with manuals and all original leads, for £15 - sold to me by someone who didn't see the renewed use for them that was just around the corner.
From looking around, it seems that a battered old unboxed receiver is now worth more than that because of Top Up.
