Hey Joe, you irritate most of us so you may as well have a petty stab yourself love!

Hang on a minute, that's a bit nasty!

Hmmm, I think I agree with you there.

We don't always agree Mr Havard, but I do think you are a rather lovely character.

Even though I may say things like "lemon head" from time to time.

Not a daffodil, but, as promised, one Empire State Building on March 1st (in two different years):

Just seen a promo for S4C on BBC Wales -- which I don't recall ever seeing apart from during the local news [though perhaps it happened years ago]

Quite odd seeing a custom made promo too, what with most stations' trails being standardised for years now.

I also noticed this and couldn't remember BBC actually advertising another channel's programmes?

HTV used to cross promote Channel 4 and S4C programmes for many years whereas the BBC just used to mention the BBC-made programmes on S4C within their news programmes. S4C is a commercial television company and it does seem odd that they are 'allowed' to 'advertise' on the BBC.

I think I've seen cross promotion for some rugby, especially club matches when BBC show one match (usually on Friday) and S4C show another (usually on Saturday).

Well Pobol Y Cwm is made by BBC Wales so they probabaly dont mind promoting that even if it is on S4C

seems just like the bbc promoting the radio times principle to me. people have to buy if from a none bbc (profit making) source, who take a slice of the purchase price.

and to be honest i would think original welsh language drama is considered more of a key public service than the radio times, so it doesn't seem odd at all to me. and of course with s4c being a public corporation any profits made from advertisers go back into producing public service programmes.

interesting none-the-less

Well indeed yes -- and as mentioned, many BBC made public service type programmes for S4C are previewed and promoted on WT, just never a stand-alone promo during a junction on BBC Wales as 'blatant' as that, shall we say.

Anyway the dragon archive is co-operating now and I have found the four [so far] promos for the rugby on BBC Wales.

But I cannot honestly think of two more Welsh singers who still live in the country left to promote the final matches. Hmm.

I reckon Chico (with his Welsh roots) should do the next one!

Besides all this hulabaloo - I wonder if HTV ever intend to show the missing episodes of Shortland Street soon?

Well I didnt see another one [I'd forgotten about this].

Anyway I see this day that Wales This Week has been put back to 0030, where Tonight would've been were it not for the fact it is on Billie Jo Jenkins.

Does this mean an extra 30mins of peak time local programming will have to be recompensated to HTV?

How do you join Quizmania half an hour late anyway?

It seems to be a regular occurence that at least once a week HTV join Quizmania about half an hour later than the rest of the country. The one I stayed up to watch resulted in the presenter welcoming viewers in Wales! It all worked pretty smoothly.

I wonder why Wales this Week didn't just carry the Billy-Jo Jenkins interview themselves within the Wales this Week brand rather than shove Sir Trevor back in his slot?
