I've only been to BH a few times but I think the meeting rooms there are named after more earnest names like Ludovic Kennedy and Charles Foster which aren't as good for a show like W1A

Edina and Patsy a notable exception Wink

There's probably loads of exceptions, I can't find a list. I know you can arrange a meeting in Jill Dando, I'm surprised that the naming doesn't cause any odd conversations at reception where people get confused and ask for the name of the room rather than the name of the person they're meeting....

People must get annoyed if they keep being chucked out of office space to film this?

That's what Syncopatico's for.

Also, worth noting that W1A isn't just filmed on the fly at NBH, and sets are created specifically for it, so it's not an indication of what all monitors in the building are displaying. The screens are essentially props.

Wait, you mean it isn't a documentary?

Also besides that I can see a young person like Will turning up and asking to see Jill Dando, and then having to be told why that won't be happening.

The "Jews Holland" subtitling cock up did come true last week when Newcastle United were referred to as "Black and White scum" on MOTD

Well, at least it was a racially neutral phrase...

So how long before BBC Me becomes a real thing inspired somewhat by W1A? Smile

I'm sure W1A and its predecessor Twenty Twelve "foresaw" events that later became real, in fact IIRC one episode of Twenty Twelve pretty much played out in real life when a bus driver got lost in London taking athletes to the Olympic Stadium.

I know this sitcom is actually filmed at New Broadcasting House so I presume those massive backdrop images of BBC Talent past and present you see on the show in the meeting rooms are real?

I claimed that name years ago. Very Happy

We looove mdtauk's mocks.

The fact is this is about TV Forum identifying what mocks we do most of best and finding fewer ways of doing more of it less.
