Oh for flips sake.
I'm interested in VT clocks. I just wanted to see whether anyone had a grab of it, that's all.
You two remind me of all that's bad about these forums - and that's people sneering about other people's interests. If you're not interested, don't post. It's simple.

I saw it at about 10.35pm...
But I didn't come rushing to turn my computer on to tell everyone about it!!! It only lasted for about 1 second anyway!!!
Did you need a box of tissues???

Now there's something for the CV!
The way my CV is currently, that'd be the most impressive thing on there
Seriously, though, if anyone can tell me what's wrong with mentioning a VT clock on a TV Presentation forum, and asking if anyone captured it, I'd love to know.

Well, I for one think it's a valid topic for discussion, and would be interested if anyone managed to capture it.
If you don't want to discuss TV presentation, then, well, you probably shouldn't be here.

Nothing to be getting *excited* about, certainly. However, it's the frequency with which such events occur these days that's more of an issue. Particularly from a national broadcaster. It's sloppy.
I've been on leave for over a week now...doing a spot of redecorating/renovating...with the TV on in the background. No fewer than five screw-ups on BBC ONE and BBC TWO in the last five days. And that's just through *periodic* viewing of both channels. Some of them, admittedly were probably restricted to BBC NI.
* BBC ONE - end of Holby City (Tue): Credits freeze and screen goes grey for last 20 or secs of programme. Corresponding to the appearance of a BBC TWO ECP. BBC NI thrown by that, let a Network promo through for 10 secs before coming in with Newsline headlines.
* BBC ONE NI last Tue night - the latest local (dire) comedy drama offering finishes at 9.58. We then have BBC ONE NI Capoiera ident - no voiceover - then crash into Network which is on the end credits of They Think It's All Over...then Network promo...followed by Network Capoiera (sound faded out completely to allow local voiceover)
* BBC TWO lunchtime (Wed last week): c. 2pm...ahead of Sgt Bilko - prev prog finishes...BBC TWO ident appears with no v/over...prolonged period of black (c. 10/15 secs) and then into Bilko...
* BBC TWO (Sat afternoon) c. 5pm: BBC ONE NI trail of Network programme...promptly followed by a BBC ONE Network trail for the same programme...in its entirety. The next junction if I recall correctly was broadcast entirely in the wrong aspect ratio

Just how excited do some people get over a digibeta machine failing to run?

Well, if we're on the subject...
Last Saturday night - end of Casualty (BBC1) - normal trailer (for Fame Academy ) broadcast in ECP window, so half of it not visible!
How do these things happen? Surely the people who work in transmission are professionals? Is it glitches in the equipment or simply sloppiness?

That was one of the others actually. Yes...an unbelievable cockup (given the profile of the programme) where we had the voting telephone numbers obstructed by the ECP graphic.
Oh and - just plain sloppiness!!
